One example of an offering at Ritual 518, from the shop’s menu, is the Buddha Bowl, featuring wild black rice, fresh greens, tomato, cucumber, fresh avocado rolled in hemp hearts and cacao, roasted sweet potatoes, homemade hummus, roasted red peppers, slivered almonds, and a lemon wedge. 

Two Fox Farm

The Capital District Farm to Fork Local Food Expo was held Wednesday at Guilderland High School. About 40 buyers were on hand to taste local products at the free event.

Aneesa Waheed, originally from India, met her Pakistani husband in Morocco. They offer the Morrocan food they enjoy at home in their restaurants; the third will open in Guilderland soon.

 Patroon Land Farm in Knox, New York

Patroon Land Farm in Knox has helped feed hundreds-of-thousands of hungry people. Its mission will endure even though its owner, Pauline Williman, has died. 

In previous years, Indian Ladder Farms has shipped around 300 bushels, or 1,200 pounds, of apples to local schools. This year, the amount will increase seven or eight times over.
