Youth soccer in Knox

The town of Knox will have its annual youth soccer program with six Sunday sessions starting on Aug. 24 and ending on Oct. 5. The sessions run from 3 to 4 p.m. each Sunday.

Players must reside in the Hilltowns and be in pre-K through sixth grade. Cost is $10 per player, which includes a T-shirt. Soccer will be played in Knox Town Park. Participants must have shin guards and a soccer ball.

Ron Osinski has reached the end of the road for coaching varsity basketball.

Ahead of Guilderland’s season-opening game at Bethlehem (Guilderland lost, 3-1) on Wednesday, Head Coach Curtis Snyder said that his team was more in shape than at this point last year.
