VCSF Evening at the Orchard a success Let us know what you need this year

To the Editor:

The Voorheesville Community and School Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out for our fall fundraiser, An Evening at the Orchard, which was held on Sept. 12 at the pavilion at Orchard Creek Golf Club. Over 200 attendees enjoyed live music, wine and beer sampling, great auction and drawing items, and delicious food and desserts.

The event was an outstanding success due to the support of corporate sponsors, honorary committee members, dedicated and tireless volunteers, and all of the businesses and community members that donated items for our successful silent auction.

Thank you to all of the community members who have provided us with positive feedback regarding the new event format this year. We are so happy to hear you had a memorable time! We invite you to post any pictures you have of the event on our Facebook page.

The money raised at this event will be reinvested in the community as grants that meet the foundation’s goals of enhancing the cultural, educational, athletic, and organizational opportunities for the students and communities of the Voorheesville Central School District. We encourage community groups to approach us this year with their needs. The Voorheesville Community and School Foundation wants to support your ideas and accomplishments!

Lastly, we ask that you save the date of our next memorable event, which will take place on Dec. 20 at the Voorheesville Performing Arts Center. If you aren’t signed up to receive email updates, contact us now at [email protected] and we’ll be sure to include you on upcoming event details. Here is a hint about our next event — It’s a Wonderful Life!

As always, donations to the Voorheesville Community and School Foundation are tax-deductible. If you missed our fundraiser this year, please find details on how to donate on our website, www.vcsfoundation.com.

Thank you again to all of the Voorheesville Community and School Foundation supporters who help make our community a wonderful place to live and learn.
