Geology students welcome

To the Editor:

The Save The Pine Bush December Hike or Ski will examine one of those little known or understood glacial moraine features found above the sand surface in certain locations in the Pine Bush such as the big “dune” in the Woodlawn Preserve and probably Eagle Hill by the Harriman Office Campus along Western Avenue in Albany.

Our destination is a fascinating and interesting one, as participants will discover. Geology students are most welcome to join us. This could contribute to your studies and you can help us, too.

Be ready for almost anything weather-wise and wear something, whether light or heavy, that is a good wind breaker. Increasing and stronger winds are a common denominator of global warming.
