Join VCSF for an evening to remember

To the Editor:

The Voorheesville Community and School Foundation is excited to announce a big change to our annual fund-raising event! For the past decade, VCSF has hosted a successful spring gala, raising money to support the foundation’s goals of enhancing the cultural, educational, athletic, and organizational opportunities for the students and communities of the Voorheesville Central School District.

This year we are turning over a new leaf: VCSF presents an Evening at the Orchard to be held Friday, Sept. 12, at the Orchard Creek Golf Club in Altamont. The event will feature wine and beer sampling, a delicious assortment of light and hearty fare, live entertainment, and an alluring auction. It is sure to be an evening to remember!

What remains the same is the foundation’s commitment to raising money to support our wonderful community. The Voorheesville Community and School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established by local community members in 1999.

Since inception, the Foundation has awarded over $150,000 in enhancement grants to school and community-based organizations. The foundation relies on the generous support and donations from businesses and individuals to carry out its mission.

We ask that you save the date — Sept. 12 — and watch our website, www.vcsfoundation.com, for event updates and ticket information.  If you haven’t joined our mailing list yet, please contact us at info@vcsfoundation.com and we’ll gladly add you.

New place, new date — same mission! We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 12th!

Pat Conway, president
Voorheesville Community and School Foundation
