To the Editor:
I believe most parents don’t think too much about school nurses. Over the years, they may get a phone call because their child has a fever, or isn’t feeling well, and need to pick up their child.
This past summer, I worked on my Silver project, which is the highest award a middle-school Girl Scout can receive.
For my project, I raised awareness for proper nutrition and for growing your own vegetables through sack gardens.
On Sunday, March 22, our Girl Scout troop 1758 had a very successful Deluxe Pancake Breakfast. Our success would not have been possible without all the donations and generous helpers.
While grandson Michael was visiting us several weeks ago, he told me he has been asked to officiate, be the “minister,” at a friend’s wedding this fall. He’s excited at the prospect and is going to get legally licensed.
This breaks my heart to hear this: North Country Animal Shelter posted on Facebook to watch out for “dog nappers.” Thieves are walking and driving around, stealing our loved pets. How sick is this.
