Kristine Gravino is stepping down as a member of the Voorheesville School Board, leaving one vacant position the board hopes to fill by the end of October.
Voorheesville native Matthew Schreiber has been living in New Orleans, playing the accordion in several bands. This weekend, he returns to New York to play in Schenectady.
New Scotland has kept its tentative budget, which is set at $7,200,405 for now, under the tax cap for 2015. If the town stays under the cap for two consecutive years, property owners in the municipality will receive a check from the state.
