Carlene Willsie, the daughter of Ross and Kathryn Willsie of East Berne, and Ethan Searl, the son of Duncan and Laurel Searl of West Berne were married on Sept. 19, 2013.

The ceremony was held at Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas and was officiated by Meghan McGonagle, a close friend of the couple.

The maid of honor was Katie Choiniere, the bride's longtime friend. The best man was Eliot Searl, the groom's older brother.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School. The bride is a graduate of Ithaca College and works as a freelance writer and editor. The groom is a graduate of Tufts University. He is a software engineer at National Instruments.

The couple lives in Austin, Texas with their dog, Moji.
