On May 3, Mayor Kerry Dineen along with Trustees Nicholas Fahrenkopf and John Scally approved the seven new members of Altamont’s zoning board and an alternate, with one alternate yet to be named. 

The Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team hosted the Suburban Council foe Columbia on May 10. In the first half, the Dutch and Blue Devils traded goals. Once the Dutch came out of halftime, their defense stiffened  and they won 12 to 4.

On Monday, May 9, the Guilderland softball team visited Columbia to take on the Blue Devils. The Dutch led but had to battle back, which ended one run short, losing 4 to 3.

B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation in Albany will host an evening of harmony and hope with inspirational music and international dance in a fundraiser to benefit the citizens of Ukraine on Saturday, May 21, in the synagogue at 420 Whitehall Road.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the concert will begin at 7 p.m.
