Matthew Pinchinat, the district’s director for diversity, equity, and inclusion, presented a chart detailing a “cultural proficiency continuum,” which he said was the “primary tool” used by the district schools to “measure our cultural competence.”

A public hearing is required before the board can vote on whether or not to adopt the tax break. Superintendent Marie Wiles noted that “people scatter” in the summertime and recommended scheduling the hearing for the board’s next meeting, June 13.

On Wednesday, May 24, the Guilderland track competed in the Section 2, Class 1 sectionals at Colonie High School. It came down to the last event for the Dutch to claim their first ever Sectional title and the Dutch did just that, taking the title with 183 points.

On Friday, May 19, the Guilderland baseball team traveled to Central Park Diamond A in Schenectady to play Niskayuna in the Section 2, Class AA sectional quarterfinals. The dominant pitching from Niskayuna silenced the Guilderland bats as the Dutch fell, 7 to 0.
