ALTAMONT — St. Lucy’s/St. Bernadette’s Church in Altamont is offering a “Best of Ireland” tour accompanied by local travel expert Jean Gagnon, which will leave from Albany on April 4 and return on April 13.
There are currently four seats still available.
The cost of $2,995 per person includes transportation from Albany to Dublin, return from Shannon, two nights in Dublin, one night in Cork, two nights in Killarney, two nights in Galway, and one night in the 16th-Century Dromoland Castle. Also included is breakfast daily and five dinners, including a farewell dinner at Dromoland Castle, as well as sightseeing, taxes, and trip insurance.
Although sponsored by the church as a fund-raiser, this tour is not a pilgrimage or religious event, and is open to everyone.
Included highlights are the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, and Kylemore Abbey. Special events include tea and scones at Rathbaun Farm and optional hikes in Killarney National Park. We will visit the Cobh Heritage Center, housed in the same rail station millions of Irish emigrants passed through on their journey to America.
