GUILDERLAND — Kara Anne Nolan and Joseph John Napoli are pleased to announce their engagement. They plan to be married in June 2014.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Guilderland High School and is employed by the New York State Comptroller’s Office. She is the daughter of Robert Nolan of Perth and the late Marianne Nolan.

Mr. Napoli also graduated from Guilderland High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at New Paltz, and is working towards a master’s degree at The College of Saint Rose. The son of John and Anne Napoli of Guilderland, he is employed by the Rite Aid Drug Company.

Karen Paczkowski and Christopher ThissenGUILDERLAND — Richard and Margaretann Paczkowski of Guilderland proudly announce the engagement of their daughter Karen Paczkowski to Christopher Thissen, son of Steven and Deborah Thissen of Glencoe, Minn. 

Dr. Paczkowski received her Ph.D. from Yale University in 2012. She also earned a master of science degree in engineering from Yale University in 2007, and is a 2006 graduate of Boston University where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in engineering and a minor in mathematics. 

Mr. Thissen is a Ph.D. candidate at Yale University. He earned a master of philosophy degree from Yale University in 2010 and is a 2008 graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in environmental geosciences. 

The happy couple has a wedding planned for June 1, 2013 in New Haven, Conn.

Tucker Adirondack Lange and Kelly Ann ChampneyGUILDERLAND — Ron and MaryAnn Champney of Woodstock, Conn. are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Ann Champney, to Tucker Adirondack Lange, son of Robert and Susan Lange of Guilderland.

The future bride attended Woodstock Academy in Woodstock, Conn. and received her bachelor of science degree in biology from George Washington University, and her law degree from Western New England College School of Law. She is director of Provider Contacting for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont. 

The future groom attended Guilderland Central High School and Colorado Mountain College and University of Colorado at Boulder. He is the freestyle ski coach for Killington Mountain School in Killington, Vt.

The couple plans a September 2013 wedding.

Julie Ann Perras and Nicholas Bruno ChieraThe parents of Julie Ann Perras and Nicholas Bruno Chiera are pround and happy to announce their engagement.

Ms. Perras graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School in 2007 and then graduated from the Orlo School of Hair Design. She is presently employed at Captial Cardiology Associates.

Chiera is a 2004 graduate of Watervliet High School. He is a specialist in the Army National Guard. He is presently employed by New York State as a corrections officer.

A fall of 2014 wedding is being planned.
