Guardsmen promoted

These local members of the New York Army National Guard have been promoted:
— Ryan Couture from Rotterdam, serving with the Company A, 3-142nd Aviation is promoted to the rank of private first class;
— Derek Rivers from Schenectady, serving with the Company E (Forward Support Company Infantry), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of private;
— Eric Monk from Schenectady, serving with the Headquarters and Support Company, 42nd Infantry Division is promoted to the rank of private first class;
— Alan Fitzpatrick from Schenectady, serving with the Joint Force Headquarters is promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel; and
— Cory Quintana from Schenectady, serving with the Troop A, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) of the New York Army National Guard has been promoted to the rank of private.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
