Wrapped for the holidays in Victorian splendor: A banister inside the historic Mynderse-Frederick House in Guilderland Center is draped with a pine garland, highlighted with hydrangea during the annual Greens Show put on by the Guilderland Garden Club last weekend. This year’s theme was “Memories of Christmas Past” to honor the 50th anniversary of the club. Proceeds from the sale of items made by garden club members went to the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center.

Making his rounds: Sinterklaas, portrayed by Karl Felsen, speaks with Merril-Lee Lenegar on Sunday afternoon at the Greens Show held at the Mynderse-Frederick house in Guilderland Center last weekend. The free annual event is sponsored by the Guilderland Garden Club and the Guilderland Historical Society, which recently hosted Felsen who spoke of the evolution of the slender, regal Saint Nicholas to the jolly, plump Santa Claus.

Proceeds went to the Pine Bush Discovery Center.
