Sharing the bounty: Following a 40-year tradition, the Kiwanis Club of Western Turnpike Guilderland gave 15 boxes — for 48 adults and 58 children — filled with turkey and fixings to needy local families for Thanksgiving. Suzanne Witkop coordinated the effort, collaborating with Guilderland’s five elementary schools and with the Price Chopper on Western Avenue. From left are Vic Perun, club president; Lee Jones, club secretary; Kerrie Sawyer, Price Chopper co-manager; Jerry Bennett, Price Chopper store manager; Maria Camelo, Price Chopper employee; and Joe Santa Maria, club first vice president.
