Steam rising from his boiler is visible against the sky as Dean Merrill of Glens Falls keeps the moving parts oiled at the annual Gas Up on Saturday. The show is sponsored by the Hudson-Mohawk Chapter of Pioneer Gas Engine Association. The event will be held again this Saturday and Sunday at the grounds on 106 Murphy Road in Schoharie.

Teamwork: A boy helps demonstrate corn shelling at Saturday’s Gas Up, an annual event featuring working antique gas engines, water pumps, tractors, drag saws, and stone crushers. The Gas Up will be open again this Saturday and Sunday with a parade of antique equipment at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The show is located just off Route 443 between Gallupville and Schoharie.
