Taking bases was the theme on Monday afternoon for the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs when batters reached first. Here, BKW’s Caiden Larsen takes off from first base and successfully steals second in the Bulldogs’ 14-to-7 win. In the first round of the Class C sectionals on Tuesday afternoon, the bulldogs lost to Lake George.

Windy conditions didn’t stop Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s Brad Ableman from pitching a complete game against Heatly on Senior Night. Ableman allowed four earned runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking five and scored four runs on the offensive side. Teammate Daniel Grippin led the Bulldogs with five runs-batted-in; he had three hits on four at-bats.
