Taking it on, Evan Thomas steps with snowshoes across the thick, fresh layer of snow that covered the Berne park along with the rest of the region as snow fell from Feb. 12 to 14. Children went snowshoeing, sledded down snow banks, created icy forts, and skated in the pavilion of the Berne Town Park Saturday to enjoy the snowy bounty of the season.
