Learn about Medicare

On Thursday, Nov. 6, from  10:30 a.m. to noon, join us in the town hall boardroom for this informative program.

the Citizens Preparedness Corps provides an introduction to people as to how to respond to a disaster, whether that is manmade or natural. 

This presentation gives families the foundation needed to be prepared if a disaster strikes. This includes the importance of a family emergency plan, and having emergency supplies stocked up and put into an emergency kit. One must be aware of what is happening around them and knowing where they need to go or what they do if a disaster occurred. 

This presentation gives individuals the information they need to be fully prepared for any emergency they might encounter.

Movie

On Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m., in the Guilderland town hall courtroom join us for Ladies In Lavender.

Reservations should be made by Sept. 18, thorugh the senior service office at 356-1980, ext.1048.

This movie takes place in pre-war England, where two aging sisters befriend a mysterious foreigner who washes up on the beach of their 1930’s Cornish seaside village. The sisters nurse him back to health and discover he is Polish. His boat was on its way to America for a better life. They also discover he is a gifted violinist. It doesn’t take long for the sisters to become attached to this man, however, other townspeople have their suspicions about him.

The movie is 104 minutes and is rated PG-13 for brief strong language.
