Westerlo Library Notes for Friday, January 30, 2015

Saturday, Feb. 7, is national Take Your Child to the Library Day. The program was created to celebrate reading and promote awareness about all that neighborhood libraries have to offer children and families.

Take your child to the library and you will feed their imagination. A love of reading and books starts with pictures, stories, and rhymes that even the youngest child can enjoy.  Take Your Child to the Library Day is a great excuse to swing by and see all that is available — for free — at your public library.

This day was launched in February 2011 in Waterford, Conn., it has spread to more than 550 participating libraries from 44 states (and counting!), one Canadian province, and two Caribbean islands.
