Voorheesville Library Notes for Friday, March 11, 2016

Join us at the Voorheesville Public Library on Wednesday, March 16, at 6 p.m., for our adult coloring book club. Each month we will provide different coloring sheets with multiple pages to choose from as well as a large selection of colored pencils, markers, and crayons.

The library community room will provide a welcoming environment with soothing music to help you relax and enjoy some you time. Supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please register.

Cooking with machines

What can you cook for yourself with a waffle maker, microwave, or blender? On Thursday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m., we’ll go beyond plain waffles and frozen dinners, so come hungry.  BYOM! (Bring your own mug). Students in grades six and up are requested to register online.

Author/Illustrator visit

We are thrilled to have critically acclaimed children's book author and illustrator Nina Crews visit us on April 9. She uses photographs and photo collages to create energetic stories about young children. Join us to hear Ms. Crews talk about her books and her art.

The children will have the opportunity to create their own bookmarks using Ms. Crews’ collage technique. The program will begin at 3:30 p.m., and is for children ages 4 to grade four, and their families. Please register early, as this program is sure to fill.

Registration for all programs can be done in-person at the library, by phone at 765-2791 or online, at www.voorheesvillelibrary.org (click on the event calendar.)
