Nicholas Mesiti and Brett M. Hutton, of Guilderland, and David P. Miranda, of New Scotland — all of them partners at Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti P.C., an intellectual property law firm with offices in Albany and Rochester, New York — have been named as “New York Super Lawyers” by the publishers of Thomson Reuters.

Associates Shanna K. Sanders and Erica M. Hines have joined the firm’s growing list of Super Lawyers. Other partners on the list include Jeff Rothenberg, Susan E. Farley, and Alana M. Fuierer. Rothenberg, Mesiti, and Fuierer were named in the field of intellectual property law, and partners Farley, Miranda and Hutton were named in the field of intellectual property litigation.

Sanders and Hines were listed as “Rising Stars” — Sanders in intellectual property litigation and Hines in intellectual property law.

Managing partner Mesiti stated, in a release from the firm, “We are very proud the legal community chose to recognize us this year in the 2014 Upstate New York Super Lawyers, and Rising Stars lists...It is an honor to be nominated from such a diverse list of exceptional attorneys.”

Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti P.C. is the only law firm in upstate New York with eight attorneys appearing in intellectual property law categories.  The New York Super Lawyers represents the top 5 percent of attorneys in New York, as chosen by their peers from nominations and a panel of lawyers selected by the editors of “Super Lawyers,” a Thomson Reuters Business.

Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti P.C. has 31 attorneys and patent agents, representing clients in the protection and commercialization of intellectual property, both domestic and foreign, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
