Rain Gardens, with Cornell Cooperatve Extension's Sue Pezzola

Date:
Saturday, February 27, 2016 (All day)
Location:
Guilderland Public Library

Rain Gardens are small, shallow depressions that collect storm water run-off allowing the water to be cleaned as it filters down through the soil to the local aquifer. These gardens use native plants that can withstand the extremes of drought and excess water; they have fit into the local environment and offer food for birds and pollinators. Join Cornell Cooperative Extension Horticulture Educator, Sue Pezzola, to learn about this green infrastructure practice that may be a good option for your yard.

Check out our new Rain Garden in the main parking lot, near the Drive-Up Book Drop!

This program will begin at 10:30 am.
