Monday, Feb. 17, was my Zoey day for the week. Today, Zoey turned eight months old. She still has no teeth but they’re coming. My mother always said it’s better to cut teeth later. She thought they would be healthier and stronger. We’ll see.

Owning a small business is a lot of hard work. If the proprietors like what they are doing they will make it seem more like fun than work. In our case, it was a combination of both. We worked hard and had fun doing our work. When Jim, my husband, and I had the doll house and miniature store on Maple Ave.

I had a very enjoyable day on Monday, Feb. 10. My granddaughter, Kassi Neal, came for breakfast. I trimmed her hair, which is long and beautiful. Then she filled out paperwork for the Star program and we dropped it off to Kevin Crosier at the town hall in Berne.

There are times that we say things and have a nagging afterthought that we either should not have said what we did or we should have chosen our words more carefully. After reading last week’s column, I felt that I was to casual, about the Wounded Warriors and needed to explain more about their injuries.

Monday, Feb. 3, was my Zoey day for the week. I had to go to the bank so I bundled up Zoey and we took the news to Altamont and then drove to KeyBank in Voorheesville.

I introduced Zoey to all the staff at the bank and all agreed with me that she’s a beautiful baby.

Last week, I talked about some people who were physically challenged. Little did I know that this week I would be enjoying a ball game with the Wounded Warriors competing against the local All Stars.

Monday, Jan. 27, was a snowy day. I wrote the news but was nervous about driving so decided to go on Tuesday to Altamont.

Kyra got off the bus at 3 p.m. and we spent the rest of the afternoon discussing school.

Marcia came home and enjoyed dinner with us.

What an exciting time this is for sports fans.
