Michael J. Gross, a 2012 Berne-Knox-Westerlo graduate, recently completed the 14-week boot camp basic training with the United States Army at Fort Benning, Ga. He graduated with the Alpha Company 2-19 Infantry Division.

Gross’s assigned duty station will be at Fort Drum, N.Y., where he will further his infantry skills.

GUILDERLAND — Accessorize opened Aug. 11 at Crossgates Mall.

Established in 1984, the first store was opened in the Covent Garden Piazza in London. With an in-house design team, Accessorize offers globally sourced accessories with seasonal themes.

The following local students graduated from Siena College in May:

United States Airforce Airman Taylor Anne Dedrick has completed basic training and tech school in Texas.
Dedrick is a graduate of Cohoes High School and Siena College. She is the daughter of Erik and Deana Dedrick of Albany, and Kelly Shannon of Wataerford.

These local students earned degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in May:

Jennie Bellai of Schenectady earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering degree;
