Help VCSF celebrate 16 years of giving back to the community

To the Editor:

It’s your last call to join us at the biggest party in Voorheesville! Enjoy a wonderful time with your friends and neighbors at the 2015 An Evening at the Orchard on Friday, Oct. 16, at the Orchard Creek Golf Club in Altamont.

The event runs from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m. and features wine and beer sampling, a delicious assortment of light and hearty fare, live entertainment from the Chris Dukes Band, and a live and silent auction. All the details about the event, tickets, menu, and exciting auction items may be found on the foundation’s website at www.vcsfoundation.com. Don’t delay — tickets must be purchased now!

An Evening at the Orchard is the major annual fundraiser for the Voorheesville Community and School Foundation, and money is raised through sponsorships, honorary committee memberships, and our auction donations/bidders. Last year, VCSF donated $25,000 in grants to support the educational, cultural, athletic, and organizational needs for the students and community members in the Voorheesville Central School District.

Our goal for this year’s event is to raise another $25,000 to give to many worthwhile recipients. We need our community to attend the event and support the foundation through our live and silent auction. The items available to purchase this year are amazing!

Last year’s event was a spectacular success with over 200 community members in attendance.  Don’t miss this year’s event celebrating 16 years of giving back to the community. We’d love to see you there!

Janna Shillinglaw, vice president

Voorheesville Community and School Foundation
