To all duly enrolled Republican voters residing in the Town of Knox, Albany County, New York:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the Election Law of the State of New York and the Rules of the Albany County Republican Committee, a Republican Party Caucus for the Town of Knox will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:00 pm at the Town of Knox Town Hall, 2192 Berne-Altamont, Rd., Altamont, NY 12009. All duly enrolled Republicans in the Town of Knox are eligible to vote at the caucus and are invited to attend. The caucus is being held for the purpose of selecting a candidate for the positions listed below to be voted for at the General Election to be held on November 3, 2015:

Town Supervisor – 2 year term

Town Clerk – 2 year term 

Town Council (2) - 4 year term 

Town Justice - 4 year term

Tax Collector – 2 year term

Superintendent of Highways – 2 year term

LEGAL NOTICE

GUILDERLAND CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOL COLLECTOR’S NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that I have received the tax rolls and warrant for the collection of school taxes in the Guilderland Central School District.

I will receive all taxes for the Towns of Knox and New Scotland beginning September 1, 2015 to September 30, 2015 with no penalty charge for the collection of the tax.

From October 1, 2015 through October 31, 2015 in accordance with Section 2130 of the Education Law and Section 1328 of the Real Property Tax Law, penalty will be charged at a rate of 2% for the month of October.

No collections will be made upon or after November 1, 2015.

Postmarks of October 31, 2015 will be accepted.

Payments will be accepted in the business office Monday - Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM at the Guilderland Central School District Office, located at the High School on School Road, (West Drive) Guilderland Center, NY 12085.

If paying by mail: Guilderland Central School District, P.O. Box 18, 8 School Road, Guilderland Center, NY 12085.  Make checks payable to:  Norma Henness, School Tax Collector.

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS 

The Westmere Fire District, Board of Fire Commissioners at a regularly scheduled meeting held on the 27th day of August, 2015, did pass a resolution pursuant to Section l76(23) of the Town Law, to declare that its T-99 Aerial Piece of apparatus with associated equipment and apparatus is no longer necessary for the uses and purposes ofthe fire protection and prevention within the area protected by the of the Westmere Fire District. It was further resolved by the Board of Fire Commissioners that the tire district will sell said apparatus for not less than Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars. Said resolution having been adopted subject to a Mandatory Referendum pursuant to l76(23) ofthe General Municipal Law, to be conducted on the 6th day of October, 2015, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Westmere Fire District tirehouse located at 1741 Western Avenue, New York 12203-4412.
