Despite political opposition, I want to help improve your life

To the Editor:

I am announcing my candidacy for the Albany County Legislature in the 29th Legislative District. It contains seven election districts in the Carman Road area of Guilderland.

If elected, I will always be in your corner. I have blocked big tax hikes, stood up for reasonable business policies to increase town revenues, been a strong environmental steward, and restored cuts to our seniors, our paramedics and Community Caregivers.

The chance to have an immediate positive impact on the lives of 300,000 people countywide is very exciting to me. My passion to look out for Guilderland residents and businesses has produced strong results and I’d like to take that commitment to the county legislature.

My 13 years as a small-business owner has required me to manage spending well, be responsive to people’s needs, and be resourceful when helping them.  As a one-time TV news anchor/reporter, I worked hard to shed light on government and hold officials accountable. My one-on-one interviews with Presidents Bush and Clinton were prominent examples of this. This breadth of experience, in business, journalism, and government, would strengthen the county legislature.

Though my political opposition has often been harsh, it has never discouraged me from pursuing my one political goal — to help improve your life in some way. You are always worth the struggle and I am so grateful for your belief in me and for your support.

While other candidates offer promises, I offer a record of success. Please visit votegrimm.com for more information and consider joining my effort so together we can shape our own future.
