St. John’s Lutheran Church at 140 Maple Avenue in Altamont has an informal Sunday worship service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 21.

Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m.

At the 11 a.m. service, the sermon is titled "Freedom to Live," based on Acts 16:16-34. Choir Anthem:  Selections from the oratorio "Elijah" by Felix Mendelssohn:

"Lord, God of Abraham" will be sung by soprano Karen Hulihan; and "Cast Thy Burden Upon the Lord" by the combined choirs.
