St. Lucy-St. Bernadette Church offers dinner and drawing on garage-sale day

ALTAMONT — On Saturday, May 2, the day of the village-wide garage sale, beginning at 6 p.m., St. Lucy-St. Bernadette Church will host its annual dinner and basket drawing at its parish center on Grand Street in Altamont.  The public is invited and reservations must be made ahead of time — by Wednesday, April 29.

The dinner prepared by Sister Mary Lou Liptak and her kitchen crew will include hors d’oeuvres, antipasto, homemade chicken Parmesan, pasta, dessert soda, and coffee and tea. The meal costs $25 for adults and $12 for children ages 6 to12. Children who are 5 and younger eat for free. To make reservations, call the parish office at 861-8770.

A highlight of the evening will be the annual “themed basket” drawing.  Baskets ranging in value from $25 to $200 will be offered.  The themes include “card shop in a basket,” family fun, home maintenance, bath towel assortment, pamper yourself, and yoga.  Tickets for the drawing will be on sale for $1 each or six for $5.

Everyone is welcome.
