Plantings for Mother’s Day available at Preston Hollow greenhouse sale

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Preston Hollow Beautification Committee Inc.  is holding a flower and bake sale on Mother’s Day  Weekend, May 8 through 10.

Flats of flowers and vegetables for spring planting will be sold, and flower pots and baskets for Mother’s Day gifts will be available. A variety of quality, home-baked goods will also be for sale, with donated treats welcomed for the event.

The sale will be an opportunity to meet and chat with people from the community and to get special gifts for mothers.

It will be held at the beautification committee’s greenhouse on Route 145 in Preston Hollow on Friday, May 8, from 3 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The committee calls on visitors to consider joining as members. It offers a way to contribute to the community while meeting new people, making friends, and having fun, members say.

The committee maintains seasonal decorations along Route 145 in the hamlet and has worked on installing signs for the hamlets in the town of Rensselaerville with original artwork by Cynthia Willis.

Anyone who is interested may speak with somebody at the Mother’s Day sale, or call Colleen Lettieri at 239-6251.

All proceeds from the Mother’s Day sale will go to the Preston Hollow Beautification Committee Fund.
