Five local Oneonta students present their research

These local State University of New York College at Oneonta students were among 163 presenting original research and creative projects at the college's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 16:

— Alexander Robillard, a graduate student from Altamont, worked with Dr. Donna Vogler of the biology department on a project titled "Determining the status of the Wood Turtle Glyptemys insculpta in Central New York State";

— Kathryn Forti, a senior from Knox, worked with Dr. Florian Reyda of the biology department on a project titled "Examination of a New Species Of Rhinebothriidean Cestode from Himantura Pastinacoides Round Whipray";

— Justine Marinello, a sophomore from Slingerlands, worked with Dr. Toke Knudsen of the mathematics department on a project titled "Exploring the Notebooks of Edith Sturgess, Laurette Lyon, and the History of the Oneonta Normal School";

— Dan Ainspan, a senior from Slingerlands, worked with Dr. Julie Licata of the music department on a project titled "Creative Drumming for Modern Pop Music"; and

— Hannah Morier, a senior from Guilderland, worked with Dr. Ho Hon Leung of the sociology department on a project titled "Elderly Residents in a Nursing Home Setting: What Does it Mean to Feel At Home?"
