Buy books and jewels to support a gem of a library

To the Editor:

Thanks to all of the community members who cleared off their bookcases and sorted through their jewelry boxes, the Friends of the Berne Library have the tables at the Berne Senior Center covered with books, DVDs, VHS tapes, audio tapes, puzzles, and jewelry ready for new owners.

Our Book and Jewelry Sale will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne.

We have all genres — mysteries, romance, science fiction, fantasy, children’s books, biographies, books on cooking, gardening, and crafts, history, health, and more.   All items are bargain-priced and proceeds will benefit the Berne Library.

We truly appreciate the support of our community for the Berne Library.  Hope to see you at the sale!
