Knox holds forum on proposed pipeline

KNOX — Eric Kuck, a Knox Town Board member, has announced that there will be a public forum about a proposed fracked gas pipeline to be held Saturday, March 12,  from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Knox Town Hall on Route 156 in the hamlet of Knox.

There is a proposed fracked gas pipeline slated to traverse the towns of Knox, Berne, New Scotland, and Bethlehem called the Northeast Energy Direct Pipeline.

The pipeline developer, Kinder Morgan/Tennessee Gas Pipeline, has formally filed in 2015 with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to build this pipeline and wishes to begin construction soon.

The town of Knox has asked Stop NY Fracked Gas Pipeline to make an audiovisual presentation regarding this fracked gas pipeline proposal.
