St. John’s Lutheran Church at 140 Maple Avenue in Altamont has an informal Sunday worship service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m. Jan. 10 will be observed as the Festival of the Baptism of Our Lord.

Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m.

 Rev. Gregory Zajac will give the sermon at the 11 a.m. service entitled, "The Heavens Will Open,” based on Luke 3:15-22.
